To our valued customers and dedicated business partners,
It is with a very heavy heart that I write this letter, but I feel it is something that I must do. As everyone knows, small businesses and individuals in America are facing financial difficulties right now unlike any we’ve ever seen and some are faring better than others. Unfortunately, due to the challenging relationships with our previous lenders for wholesale financing, retail financing and property mortgage financing, in spite of repeated attempts at negotiations over the past twelve months, our current partners did not feel that it was within their best business interests to continue doing business with our dealership in this challenging business climate. Regardless of our fifty five years of outstanding credit history and outstanding personal history, which now means nothing to these colossal financial institutions, they somehow feel that we are simply a number on their enormous balance sheets and that it’s ok to categorize us along with the rest of the pack and simply right us off with the rest of them for no fathomable reason other than “they want to”. It is for this reason that we are no longer able to serve you, our loyal and long standing customers!
It has always been our mission to serve our customers in the best way possible no matter what, but unfortunately, when the financial rug has been pulled out from under us, we find ourselves in the precarious place of not being able to honor our obligations to both our vendors and even more importantly to our valued customers. That is what has led us to our only other option and that has been to sell off our remaining assets (to satisfy our financial obligations with our mortgage holders) and close our doors after fifty five amazing years in the RV business serving you amazing people in this great industry.
Believe me when I say that I personally and ALL of our dedicated and loyal staff of sales, parts and service personnel (you know who they are) are going to miss all of you, our customers, vendors and FRIENDS more than you can even imagine! We have all poured our hearts and souls into making Motor Home & RV Super Center into what it has become today and we take this as a major blow to our souls and a little part of each of us has died today.
We all wish that we could be around to take care of all of your RV needs well into the future, but thanks to the greed and shortsightedness of today’s banks and financial institutions, that’s just not possible. You can thank TD Bank and GE Commercial Finance for putting all these fine people and their families out of work and even some on the brink of their own personal disaster. What is our government doing about it…….NOTHING? That’s right, no matter what you are hearing on the nightly news, there’s NOTHING being done on the local level to help the small business keep jobs for the real person here in Maine…..and that’s the TRUTH!
I am so truly sorry to all that was a part of the incredible team whom I’ve let down and who are left to fend for themselves…..they are the true heroes who have stuck it out in the face of adversity during all of this hardship and tried their hardest to do the right thing and what do they have to show for it……NOTHING! Thanks US Government…..GREAT JOB!
Please keep your eyes out on our website, this isn’t the last you’ve heard from us. We’ll be back, and with a VENGANCE! There is a void in this industry for GOOD SERVICE and GOOD PARTS and much more that a lot of other dealers just can’t get right……we want to help all of you good RV owners out there and we have plans to do just that. Keep watch, you will be pleasantly surprised.
Thank you to all those who have patronized us and supported us throughout all of these years, we appreciate and honor all of our customers and business partners who know honest, hard working companies when they see them, just as we do when we look back at them.
Good bye for now……..but NOT forever!
Sincerely,
